Karen Linker is Founder and CEO of Family Navigator for Seniors. She is a former nurse and executive in the Senior Care industry. What truly sets her apart is her empathetic, unbiased approach inspired by her own experience of finding care for her aging parents who had complex needs.

Karen’s extensive experience working within the Health Care and Senior Housing sectors enables her to offer her clients a unique perspective with insider knowledge.

Karen began her career as an RN in critical care at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, and then held progressive positions in Health Care within the private sector. Karen was Regional Director of Operations for Chartwell Retirement Residences where she provided leadership to 10 retirement homes, each with distinct service offerings including dementia care and assisted living.

Karen’s wealth of experience extends to the non-profit sector where she served on the Board of Directors for Vibrant Healthcare Alliance (a community health centre in Toronto).

During this in person visit, our experienced professional will get to know you and your loved one’s unique situation. We'll listen to your concerns, answer questions, and provide a high-level overview of the senior care landscape. In addition, we will assess your loved one’s current living environment, care requirements, and preferences, as well as an in-depth discussion on the most appropriate care options and living arrangements.

We will give you an overview of various care options available and identify sources for government funded assistance and community support services. We will help you understand the distinctions between home care services, retirement residences, and long term care and help you understand the different types of care providers and their qualifications. With this service, you'll be more knowledgeable and able to accelerate the process of finding the best care solutions.
